Basically, the hero is an ass. The heroine is interesting although weak. Her friends see the 'hero' manhandling her during their first meeting in 7 years and the friend says just don't hurt her and walks away. So, not a fan on the friends either. She constantly changes her opinion to match his and not in an experimental / try to see it from a different perspective way.I love my guys a little rough, but this guy wasn't ~ he was abusive and mean. I barely finished the book.

Always enjoy the stories of this series. I started out of order but looking forward to connecting all the characters.
I enjoyed the book. I like Helen Conrad's books. Could do with a little less skin and language but the stories are good.
An easy read. Like the family that is mentioned throughout the Destiny Bay series.
They feel like they're real people.
I enjoyed the bundle so much I looked for the next group but found this single story instead.
This book was a complete disaster. Too many things going on and too many conflicts. The big secret wasn't as big a deal as it seemed and was a huge let down. The writing was decent but the story just didn't work on any level for me.
This book wasn't quite like all the other romances I read this one had a real story and not near as much sex. I was pleased to read it and looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Just goes to show that two different people from very different lifestyles can make it work.
A love that deep can really get through anything and to know that someone could think up such a story only leaves hope for the rest.
