If only Lauren's story was not real life. I have been in her shoes and lived her life and know what it means to shake and break out in a sweat when voices are raised. Child abuse takes many forms, and Lauren's reaction to permanent relationships is not at all unusual. That Kyle could see beyond her brittle exterior to the wounded woman's soul, speaks of a man who is capable of great kindness and insight. I loved Lauren's quirky, artistic temperament, and Kyle was a perfect fit. As a soldier, a journalist and photographer, his whole make-up is one of protector and gentle artist. I did find the explicit sex uncomfortable, but I have also observed that many women who have been hurt attempt to find warmth through the physical act, while not wanting to commit themselves or allow anyone to get close. I delighted in Kyle's gentle luring of Lauren into his arms, and the way in which he patiently wooed her. I was pleased that the book came to a satisfactory ending.Product details

Good read
A good read, would recommend.
Mature content which really just means "sex". A very good, light read that makes you want more. The gal who only does one night stands, spends an awfully lot of time with hers, but refuses to date.
First time I read a book from this author and I really enjoyed the way the characters developed. Sometimes, authors have a way of saying the same thing over and over again but a different way. I will read other books from her in the future.
This was a great read. The story was sweet and full of heart. This series is just sooo cute, I can't wait to read Dylan's story.
I totally enjoyed reading this book. I loved the story line and characters. I am glad that they got their happy ever after ending.I I will continue to follow this author.
I'll admit I didn't like this one as much as book 1. A commitment phobic woman and a ready for commitment man is a very unusual read for me. Strangers to friends to lovers can a relationship really develop when one of them doesn't want anything to do with love and commitment. This one had lots more steamy explicit sex scenes. I tend to like less but if you like more then this is the book for you. I do love this author's Cupid Coffee Shop series. I received a free review copy of the book
