I'm not going to get into the plot of the book, others have done a good job before hand. I'll just say how I truly enjoyed this book and the easy going characters. Although I must say that the initial sex scene was a little confusing for me. At one point I wasn't sure what was happening. I wasn't sure if it was still foreplay or if they were already further into the act. This took away part of the excitement. And even though it's part of the plot, the earliness of the act itself somewhat took away the intimacy anticipation from early in the book - at least for me.

The main female character seemed a little openly shallow to me, even though I understood where she was coming from. But I felt the author could have polished her ideals a little better. Maybe it's just me, I'm tired of some single black women being portrayed as narrow or shallow when they simply prefer a partner with similar goals and/or financial security. But perhaps others may not even detect this in the book. It's just my little opinion.

In all, it was a light fun read. It wasn't something just hot and steamy, it was a cute story with a feel of romance involved. There were a few predictable twists, but very enjoyable. If you are into BW IR romance books and especially AM/BW romances, grab this one.

All Diahann needed was no strings attached sex to get over the betrayal of finding out her long term boyfriend was married. So what better way than to seduce the sexy Chinese take-out driver she just meet a few hours earlier?

I like the fact that although Sun and Diahann seem so different they really have a lot in common. Both of them are so devoted to seeing their family's businesses succeed they have little time for their own personal lives. Little did they know by indulging themselves on a sexual escapade they would also be beginning a great business partnership.

Although this story has some dry spots there are other scenes that were quite interesting. I especially liked the fact that after Sun found out that she was a part owner in Marshal's he wanted to figure out a way to help both his restaurant and hers at the same time. Unfortunately one of the dry spots is the beginning of the story so keep that in mind and don't stop!! It will get better.

This story also offered a variety of supporting characters. Diahann's sister, Dee has a quirky sense of humor that definitely entertained me. I also liked Chet's incredible desire to do as little as possible like many young adults. I was happy to discover that Dee and Chet will be having a story as well. I am sure it will be a fun one, just like this was.

If you enjoy interracial relationships with good, interesting and fun characters this may be the story for you.
Description The economy has been rough on Diahann Marshall's family-owned ice cream shop and her love life has gone even colder than the product she sells. Can local business owner Sun Li, who she thinks is a Chinese food delivery guy, be the perfect solve for both?

The Good Compelling premise. I'm a big fan of mistaken identity plots and kept on reading just to see how it would all turn out.

The Bad The H/H relationship is so under-developed that the great set-up is effectively ruined. Both characters (but especially Sun Li) lack strong/clear motivation, which makes suspension of disbelief particularly hard when certain romantic plot points play out. At the end of the day, this romance just isn't very romantic. Also, the heroine's sister, who is set up here for a book of her own, is meant to be funny, but often comes off as racist. (ex. she refers to the hero as Jackie Chan)

The Naughty Steamy.

Editing issues Several typos (counted 11). Missing chapter breaks in places.

Diahann Marshall is wracking her brain to find ways to keep the family ice cream business afloat. When her sister suggests making the local delivery guy "dessert" to take her mind off her troubles, she takes the plunge.

Sun Li manages a Chinese restaurant and although he is the owner, he still believes in taking up the slack. This means when his delivery boy is out of commission, he steps in. Although he is wildly attracted to Diahann, he knows she thinks he's just a lowly delivery guy. He steps up his game, determined to help her save her ice cream business and prove that he is more than worthy to be her man.

Slick, sassy, and sensuous, We All Scream is a deliciously fiery story encompassing the pleasures of food and passion, family and love, bad times and new beginnings. Diahann reigns supreme as a classy, smart, and modern Black woman with an old school sense of loyalty, right and wrong. She has more than her fair share of pride, which makes Sun her match in every way. I genuinely liked both characters, yet felt a bit uneasy when she thought Sun was a delivery boy, below her station. He was good enough for a frisky tumble but not worthy to be her man. How true to human nature it rings; perhaps I was meant to feel the discomfort. Haven't we all been guilty of this attitude? Hence the discomfort and squirming. Sun's reaction to everything made me appreciate and like him even more. These characters felt familiar, and it's obvious how much the author enjoyed writing them, especially Diahann's irritating (and devoted) younger sister, Dee. Nona Wesley nailed the dynamic between siblings, as well as the ties that bind a close-knit community, and how the modern world forces change by placing economical hardships on small businesses. This delightfully rich tale of contemporary love will make you snicker, sigh, root for our sizzling duo, and crave Chinese takeout with a large scoop of sweet HEA-ness on the side. What's your flava?
